Bone King: I'M Really Not A Conspirator

Chapter 10: Planning Guide for Outings

Flying Squirrel opened up, recounting how he had gone out alone to clear his head but was caught red-handed.

"Sigh, I was even wearing full armor, and my face wasn't exposed at all. I think it was my teleportation that gave me away."

Only those with the Anz Ul-Gown Ring could move freely within Nazarick, and currently, only two people possessed them, making it easy to identify him.

"Not necessarily. When I went to the cafeteria to eat, I used high-level concealment magic, but the butler still recognized me. It's impossible to do things quietly."

Sig-san ruthlessly pointed this out. Flying Squirrel nodded in agreement, then brought up another matter: "Mare is currently responsible for concealing Nazarick's outer wall, but the wall is too long, and the workload is immense, so I rewarded him with a guild ring."

Sig-san didn't seem surprised. The Anz Ul-Gown Ring totaled one hundred, with each guild member having one. Even so, there were still over 50 that could be freely distributed; they weren't rare items.

Aside from the rings, it was difficult to find more suitable items to reward subordinates.

"As long as Mare is happy."

Happy, he was happy, but at first, Mare was startled. It took a lot of effort to persuade him to accept it. Flying Squirrel secretly sweated, relieved that he succeeded in the end.

"But does only Mare have one?"

"I plan to give them to them too. Mare was the first. Albedo and Demiurge should also need them."

Flying Squirrel had indeed considered giving them all out at once, so every Guardian would have one, but thinking of Mare's extreme reaction, he decided to wait a bit longer, at least one by one.

"Hmm, for them, a ring that only belongs to guild members is indeed very precious. Issuing them still requires some caution."

"Ahem, I thought so too."

Flying Squirrel was very glad he hadn't spoken his inner thoughts. Wait, this isn't in front of the Guardians, so there's no need to be so nervous.

In contrast, Sig-san picked up an exquisite pastry, put it in his mouth, and naturally extended his tongue to lick away the crumbs from the corner of his lips.

Because he was wearing gloves, his sharp nails didn't hinder him from performing delicate movements. He then picked up a steaming cup of black tea and slowly took a sip.

The pastry was sweet but not cloying, and the black tea was rich. Sig-san felt immense satisfaction.

Flying Squirrel said helplessly, "Eating too much sweet will make you fat, and it's not very healthy for your body."

Although he had ordered the meal, seeing the table full of desserts, he felt it was a bit excessive. He couldn't imagine Sig-san getting fat.

Sig-san sighed. His current body didn't fear eating too much; it was simply a super benefit for sweet tooths. Lifting his shirt would even reveal perfect eight-pack abs.

Before, to maintain his figure through self-discipline, he would drink coffee all day, let alone things like cake. He had complained to Flying Squirrel a few times, and he didn't expect to be remembered.

He really is a good Guildmaster. I'll take him out to play... to gather information about the New World.

"I heard that Demiurge's alert network has been set up. Everything within five kilometers of Nazarick is under surveillance. It feels quite reassuring."

Upon hearing the mention of Nazarick's safety, Flying Squirrel immediately became serious, saying, "We cannot be careless in the slightest. What if the ordinary people in this world are all level one hundred? At that time, even the alert network would be useless. Nazarick must be completely hidden. I have already instructed Demiurge to start preparing a second alert network."

Sig-san didn't know if Flying Squirrel's imagination was too rich or if he was truly too cautious. This conjecture was too crazy, wasn't it? Besides the divine beings, the highest level for pure humans was only around level 40.

However, being cautious after abruptly arriving in a different world was definitely good, and as a companion, he was trustworthy enough.

"When exploring the surrounding environment, I released a few small Dragon Kin and discovered a forest ten kilometers southwest of Nazarick, with a village surrounded by farmland next to it. Should we go gather some information?"

"Is it just an ordinary village?"

Since he had already been informed of the dangers of the unknown world, Sig-san still made this suggestion, which meant he had already confirmed some things.

"Through the observed images, I can be 100% certain that it is a very ordinary village. There are no signs of magic use, nor are there equipped warriors. Most people are engaged in farm work; it's a place with a strong rustic charm."

Flying Squirrel was clearly tempted. He originally wanted to go out for some fresh air. If it really was the kind of village described, there was definitely a need to investigate, but his inner caution made him hesitate.

Considering Nazarick's current situation, would it be more appropriate to send a Guardian to scout? But he also didn't want to put himself, who was like the companions' child, into such a dangerous situation.

Sig-san said again, "Sooner or later, we will have to interact with people from other worlds. Also, I heard from them that the surrounding magical beasts have been restless recently, and they are discussing inviting adventurers. Clearly, they don't have the ability to protect themselves."

Flying Squirrel asked in surprise, "How do you know?"

He remembered that the Kin's sharing should only be visual; it shouldn't reach such an intelligent level.

"I can read lips, and I've learned their writing using a skill," Sig-san said earnestly.

"Hmm, it seems there is indeed a need to explore."

After a long silence, Flying Squirrel finally convinced himself. Because it contained his selfish desire to go out, he suddenly felt ashamed.

Is it truly okay for a ruler to do this? Will it be too arbitrary?

Flying Squirrel sighed, drawing circles on the table. "Sigh, Sig-san, you know, I was just a small employee. Now, suddenly being pushed into a high position, I always feel at a loss."

Sig-san put down his teacup, encouraging words flowing easily, "Guildmaster, since you were able to lead Nazarick to become a top guild, are you still worried about not being a good ruler? Don't forget that the Guardians are 100% loyal. Everyone wants to follow your command, including me."

"But I'm afraid of making mistakes..."

"No one is immune to mistakes. You have to believe in yourself. I will always be by your side to assist you, becoming your solid backing. You can just rely on me as your family."

Flying Squirrel chuckled, "What a strange analogy, Sig-san. I'm not a bride getting married."

"So, we're going, then."

Sig-san rested his hands on the desk, his bright eyes staring directly into the skull's empty eye sockets.

Flying Squirrel felt like he was being stared at by a predator. Even with an empty head, he still felt a burning sensation. His momentum gradually diminished, and he finally voiced his biggest concern.

"But the Guardians..."

"No problem, all of that can be resolved." Sig-san straightened up, revealing a meaningful smile.

Inside the office, Albedo and Demiurge both knelt on the ground, "Greetings, Lord Flying Squirrel, Lord Sig-san!"

"How may we serve you, both of you?"

Flying Squirrel glanced at the young man standing beside him and said, "Rise. I'm not here to reprimand you today. I'm here to give you a reward."

The two exchanged glances, both seeing excitement in the other's eyes.

Albedo carefully hid her crazed gaze. She had already recognized the human-like young man as Sig-san. No matter how much he changed, he couldn't hide it from her.

Even in human form, he's so handsome, truly charming, Lord Sig-san!

Sig-san suddenly felt a chill down his spine. This body should have complete cold resistance, though. Strange...
