Naruto: Start Training In Konoha

Chapter 12: Practicing the art of clone

Feng Zheng put on a nervous expression and said, “Well, when I was out shopping, I saw a weapon store in the market, and I saw the weights in that store.”

Genshu understood and explained, “I see. Curiosity is a good thing, but don't use weights for training. It will affect your physical development and is not good for you in the long run.”

Then he smiled kindly and said, “It's good that you asked me. Next time you have such an idea, ask me before you try it, okay?”

Feng Zheng nodded. After thinking for a moment, he asked, “Teacher, are there any other ways to increase the difficulty of training?”

Genshu was a little surprised that Feng Zheng was so obsessed with increasing the difficulty of physical training. He thought to himself, “Feng Zheng is indeed very satisfied with this new plan, but he keeps asking me these questions. Does this mean he thinks this new training will quickly become easy for him? This is too surprising. I know he is diligent, but I didn't know he was this diligent. Now I am even more looking forward to his future.”

Genshu continued, “Actually, there is another method. Besides heavy objects, you can use some talismans to achieve the same training effect without any side effects. For example, using a Gravity Sealing Jutsu talisman.”

Feng Zheng was surprised by this information. He thought, “It seems I really need to learn Sealing Jutsu.”

He showed an enthusiastic expression to Genshu.

Genshu was pleased with Feng Zheng's enthusiasm and wanted to play a small trick on him.

Genshu continued, “However, these talismans cannot be given to anyone. And if you want to get them, the price is very expensive, so you can't buy them yourself.”

Feng Zheng was immediately confused. He frowned and wondered, “What trick is he playing? I feel like he's tempting me or something.”

He decided to play along and then sighed, showing a disappointed expression.

Genshu was satisfied with Feng Zheng's reaction and tempted him, “But don't worry. Do you remember what I said on the first day? The Hokage will supervise your exams?”

Feng Zheng was still confused but nodded. Genshu continued, “If you perform the best among your classmates, then you can ask the Hokage for a gift. Then you can ask the Hokage for these Sealing Jutsu talismans to help you. But before that, you should train according to the plan I made for you.”

Feng Zheng finally had some ideas. He nodded and thought, “Is he trying to dangle a carrot in front of me to motivate me to do well in the exams? This is a trick to tease children!”

Feng Zheng played along, nodded, showed a happy expression, and said, “Wow, that's great!”

Seeing Feng Zheng nod, Genshu smiled, ruffled Feng Zheng's hair, and said, “Good. But besides physical ability, there is also a theoretical part to the exam, so if you want to get first place, you have to study theory too.”

Finally understanding what was going on, Feng Zheng said enthusiastically, “Okay, teacher, I will study hard and prepare for the final exam.”

Genshu was satisfied with his joke and then left.

After Genshu left, Feng Zheng laughed heartily to himself and then thought, “Sigh, it's really not easy to keep playing the role of a child. Although there are some interesting aspects to it, these cunning adults always want to manipulate children in one way or another.”

Feng Zheng thought that it was the same in his previous life.

Every adult would force children to be first in whatever they did.

Sadly, he had to do well in these exams.

However, it was still amusing to see him try to manipulate a child.

Unfortunately, Feng Zheng was not a child.

He felt that Genshu said this simply because he didn't participate much in those boring history classes.

Come to think of it, Feng Zheng hadn't even answered a single question Genshu had asked in class.

No wonder Genshu wanted to manipulate Feng Zheng.

It seems Feng Zheng needs to improve his skill at pretending to pay attention in class!

However, he was not worried about the actual theory exam.

Although he wouldn't arrogantly say he was the smartest person in the classroom, his brain was clearly much more mature than those children's.

These exams were quite easy for him.

That being said, those Sealing Jutsu talismans still made Feng Zheng a little worried.

After all, it would be troublesome if someone messed up the Sealing Jutsu while putting it on him.

Feng Zheng felt he should go to the Library later to check out some knowledge about Gravity Sealing Jutsu and some suppression Sealing Jutsu.

Finishing his thoughts, Feng Zheng looked at the new training plan again and walked towards the Library.

After entering the Library, Feng Zheng first went into Area 0 to look for Chakra control scrolls.

After searching for a few minutes, he finally found the correct scroll.

After finding a seat, he opened the book and thought as he read, “I can now walk on walls even in my sleep! If I want to further improve my Chakra control, I still need to try Tree Climbing, and then practice Water Walking. If anyone asks me where I learned these things, I can recommend this scroll to them.”

This scroll mentioned Leaf Concentration, Tree Climbing, and Water Walking training.

But to Feng Zheng's surprise, at the end of the scroll, another scroll was mentioned, and that other scroll mentioned theories for further improving Chakra control.

To satisfy his curiosity, he found that scroll and began to read it.

After reading it, he analyzed, “Interesting.”

The scroll proposed a theory that Chakra could be used to counteract gravity itself.

By applying a force equal to gravity, one could float, and by applying a greater or lesser force, one could ascend or descend respectively.

However, no one had yet succeeded in doing this.

Even Tsunade from the Hokage series didn't have such a skill, and her Chakra control was among the best in the entire series.

As for others who flew, like the Third Tsuchikage and those associated with him, Feng Zheng thought they might have used some kind of Earth Release Ninjutsu to lighten themselves or something similar.

Feng Zheng couldn't quite remember.

However, it was indeed an interesting theory.

Perhaps he could try it later.

Holding the scroll, Feng Zheng decided to start his main task.

He entered Area E and grabbed the Clone Technique scroll.

After opening it, he found that this technique only required three Hand Seals.

In order, they were Ram, Snake, and Tiger.

Feng Zheng read further into the scroll. After reading it, he thought, “I see, even though there are only 3 Hand Seals, there's a lot of internal work to do. The Hand Seals only serve as guidance. So merely knowing the Hand Seals is not enough to learn this Ninjutsu; one must also master the essence of the Ninjutsu.”

Feng Zheng felt this would ruin all his plans for learning the Clone Technique.

But no matter what, he was determined to start learning this Ninjutsu.

After memorizing all the important contents of the Clone Technique, he left the Library.

He returned to his apartment and began to practice the Clone Technique behind closed doors.

As expected, this Ninjutsu was quite difficult.

He had to go back and forth to the Library many times and read that scroll multiple times.

During one such instance, he saw Genshu looking at him and smiling. He thought, “Did he misunderstand, thinking I went to the Library to study the history and other content he taught in class? Well, that's fine by me.”
