Naruto: Start Training In Konoha

Chapter 3: Chakra properties

To understand his Chakra nature, Feng Zheng needed a Chakra paper, but theoretically, every Ninja could master these five basic natures, regardless of their innate affinity.

During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Shikamaru had all the Ninja use Earth Release Ninjutsu—Earth-Style Wall.

This showed that the most basic Ninjutsu of the five elements could be used directly, without the need to master elemental affinities like Naruto.

Of course, it would be even better if one could master all five elements.

This would allow for the use of more powerful Ninjutsu from all these elements.

Taking Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi as an example, he mastered all five elements, and judging by his combat power, he certainly had a proficient grasp of all elemental affinities.

Feng Zheng was very curious about his elemental affinity, as that element would be easier to master.

If he had to choose, Feng Zheng's first choice would be Lightning Release.

Lightning Release possesses deadly attack power, and if he could somehow mimic the Raikage's use of lightning to enhance his speed, strength, and defense, his abilities could easily reach Kage-level.

His next preference would likely be Water Release.

Although Feng Zheng wasn't particularly fond of Water Release, Konoha Village had the legacy of Senju Tobirama, whose Water Release Ninjutsu was unparalleled.

If he could learn these Water Release skills, his abilities could also greatly improve.

The remaining three elements each had their own issues.

While Wind Release is very deadly and versatile, no Kage-level character reached that stage solely through Wind Release Ninjutsu.

Even those Kazekage didn't primarily rely on Wind Release Ninjutsu for their livelihood.

The only one Feng Zheng remembered was Danzo, but his Wind Release Ninjutsu performed poorly in his fight with Sasuke.

However, on the other hand, becoming the first Ninja to reach Kage-level by using Wind Release Ninjutsu would be a good challenge.

Earth Release also has many excellent Ninjutsu and might be the best elemental choice after Lightning Release.

But Konoha Village's Ninja rarely use Earth Release, so obtaining relevant information is difficult.

As for Fire Release, although it is powerful, many of its Ninjutsu are easy to dodge.

The only top-tier Fire Release Ninjutsu Feng Zheng remembered was Amaterasu, but unfortunately, he couldn't use it.

Only Uchiha Madara's overwhelming Great Fire Annihilation seemed very destructive, and many people could use it.

But Feng Zheng was unsure if Konoha Village could use this Ninjutsu, and if ordinary Ninja could unleash flames as massive as Madara's.

Nevertheless, Feng Zheng believed he should remain open-minded; perhaps there might be more Ninjutsu here than appeared in the naruto series.

Moreover, there weren't many options right now.

Among these five elements, Feng Zheng only knew the correct training method for Wind Release because it was explained in detail in the naruto series.

Training for the other elements could only be guessed at by him.

So, he decided to postpone these trainings until after he entered the academy.

Before that, regardless of his innate Chakra affinity, Feng Zheng decided to start learning Wind Release Ninjutsu first.

Feng Zheng immediately began to manipulate his Chakra, attempting to cut the leaf in half.

The training lasted for half an hour with no results.

At this moment, a bell rang throughout the orphanage.

The bell indicated that breakfast was being served.

As soon as the bell rang, Eiichi and Daisuke also woke up.

Daisuke looked at Feng Zheng, who was sitting on the bed, and said.

"Good morning, you're up really early today."

Feng Zheng said.

"Morning, I went to bed too early, that's probably why."

Eiichi also quipped.

"Good morning, looks like you didn't scream from a nightmare today."

Afterward, both Daisuke and Eiichi mocked Feng Zheng's behavior from yesterday.

Feng Zheng gave an awkward smile and said.

"Alright, I'm going to eat breakfast first. You two sleepyheads should hurry up and come too."

Upon hearing this, Eiichi and Daisuke quickly ran to grab their toothbrushes.

---

For the next week, Feng Zheng repeated the same pattern.

He woke up early, did morning exercises, and noticed that his two roommates seemed to only wake up when the bell rang.

Whenever he had a chance, he tried to cut the leaf.

He also incorporated punching and kicking exercises into his morning routine.

He noticed that Eiichi and Daisuke spent most of their time playing outside with other children.

So the room was empty most of the time.

This was especially true after breakfast (around 10 AM to noon) and a few hours before dinner (around 4 PM to 6 PM).

With this information, he began Leaf Concentration Training to improve his Chakra control.

Leaf Concentration Training involves placing a leaf on the forehead, focusing on the leaf, and then concentrating all Chakra onto the leaf.

Besides improving Chakra control, this also helps enhance concentration.

Feng Zheng recalled Naruto emphasizing its importance when learning Rasengan.

Feng Zheng not playing with the other children was somewhat suspicious.

But since the orphanage was already overcrowded, no one paid attention to him.

His previous screaming and collapsing incidents had long been forgotten.

Only his two friends were somewhat displeased because he no longer played with them.

To avoid suspicion, Feng Zheng always sat on his bed with his back to the door when doing Leaf Concentration exercises.

If someone suddenly entered the room, he would immediately stop the exercise, preventing the person from seeing the leaf.

Fortunately, his training wasn't interrupted much.

For the next six months, Feng Zheng continued to train systematically.

His physical fitness, concentration, and Chakra control steadily improved.

He also noticed that his Chakra reserves were increasing significantly.

Unfortunately, without a point of comparison, he didn't know how good or bad his Chakra reserves were.

Physically, he could now run nearly 50 laps around the playground.

He could do 4 sets of 12 push-ups, 5 sets of 20 sit-ups, 5 sets of 15 squats, and 4 sets of 8 pull-ups.

He also found that improving physical fitness was much easier here compared to his previous world.

Regarding Wind Release training, it took him three and a half months to successfully cut the first leaf.

And after six months of diligent training, he was finally able to successfully cut a leaf in one go.

Although it took a while, it was understandable.

Because Feng Zheng had only recently unlocked Chakra, had no Shadow Clone Technique assistance, and no master's guidance, this was already a good achievement.

Since he still couldn't cut a waterfall to complete the next stage of training, he could only try cutting some harder materials to further improve his Wind Release control.

He used a small wooden branch instead of a leaf for training.

---

In the fifth month of his arrival in this Ninja World, something fortunate happened.

An elderly couple came to the orphanage and distributed many water balloons.

This kind of thing happened often before, and Feng Zheng felt they were likely old people who had lost their children in the Great Ninja War or the Nine-Tailed attack.

But for him, this was a great opportunity.

Since he was an orphan with no money, this meant he couldn't go to the market to buy water balloons to start Rasengan training.

He took the opportunity to grab a few water balloons and hid them.

With the water balloons, he could finally begin the first stage of Rasengan training.
