PokéMon: At The Beginning, Millerton Became A Dragon Master

Chapter 37: Kyoto secret place

But Chen Kai didn't pay too much attention to other people's affairs.

Walking a few more steps, Chen Kai finally saw his grandfather.

He was chatting and laughing with a group of old men, and when he saw Chen Kai, he quickly waved him over.

"Hey! This is my grandson, Xiao Kai." Grandfather introduced Chen Kai, and also let Chen Kai get to know the elders of the Bai Family.

"Xiao Kai, come over quickly, this is your Third Granduncle, and this is your Great Uncle..."

Chen Kai didn't care if he remembered them or not, he just greeted them all the way, following suit.

As his grandfather introduced them, Chen Kai roughly understood that these old men were all from the Bai Family, though they were all from collateral branches.

He also had a general impression of this group of old men; he had seen them on Earth, often bird-watching, playing chess, and listening to music with his grandfather.

Coming to Blue Star, it became watching "Dragons", playing chess, and watching Pokemon battles.

These old men all had "Dragon" Pokemon with them, such as Bagon, Axew, and Goomy.

The common thing about the Pokemon they raised was that they were all fed quite delicately, and they were all a bit fat.

"Oh! Xiao Kai's Applin is very well-raised!" Third Granduncle said.

Sixth Granduncle also praised, "It seems this competition will get a good ranking!"

"This Flaaffy is also quite well-bred!"

...

These old men, chattering away, gave Chen Kai the illusion of visiting relatives during the New Year.

He could only humbly say, "It's alright, it's alright, just average, just average."

"Move aside, move aside."

At this moment, a group of people got off a bus, with several security guards in front of them speaking fiercely, trying to get the people who got off the bus to go into the park.

Fortunately, the security guards' verbal attitude was just poor, and they didn't actually push anyone.

Chen Kai asked curiously, "Are these people from the Bai Family Main House?"

"How could that be?" Bai Yuchun suddenly appeared behind Chen Kai. "These are from the Long Family."

Chen Kai was startled: "Oh! Chun Jie, weren't you being interviewed by reporters? By the way, why is everyone gathered in this park now?"

Bai Yuchun waved her hand: "Hey! That's the interview teacher, not me.

We're waiting for the gate to open now!"

"Open the gate?"

Bai Yuchun nodded, "Yes, waiting for the Bai Family's Secret Realm to open.

Didn't you know? The people from the Bai Family Main House all live inside the Kyoto Secret Realm, and this is how we distinguish between the Main House and the collateral branches."

Chen Kai then asked, "Kyoto Secret Realm, is the entrance to the Secret Realm inside this park?"

"I don't know, the Kyoto Secret Realm covers the entire Kyoto. The Main House can open an entrance anywhere in Kyoto. It used to be opened in the city center of Kyoto, but later the government controlled it, and now it's all opened in the suburbs."

As Bai Yuchun spoke, she suddenly became gossipy: "Speaking of which, this Secret Realm used to be called 'Secret Realm of Bai', and it was the largest controllable Secret Realm in the world.

However, because the Bai Family Main House was too arrogant, they only have residential rights now, and it's also been renamed the Kyoto Secret Realm."

Chen Kai thought to himself, so Secret Realms can control their entrances? He always had to run to the top of the mountain, which was very troublesome. Next time he goes back, he'll ask Iron Leaves if it can change the entrance.

"Dong! Dong! Dong!"

A burst of gong sounds rang out.

An old man with white hair, followed by four Dragonair, holding a gong, said to everyone: "Everyone, quiet down! Quiet down!

The entrance to the Kyoto Secret Realm is about to open, everyone please enter in an orderly manner."

"Actually, they have other methods, but to show off their uniqueness, they insist on using a gong." Bai Yuchun complained somewhat helplessly.

Chen Kai quietly echoed: "This is called authentic~"

As the old man waved his hand, the Dragonair split into pairs, forming a circle, and the space within the circle blurred.

The old man politely stepped aside: "Alright, esteemed guests, please enter."

First to enter were the people from the Long Family, then Ye Gai and the reporters, and finally Chen Kai, Bai Yuchun, and his grandfathers.

No wonder Chun Jie always complained about the Bai Family Main House; Chen Kai also had no good impression of this so-called Main House.

Entering the Dragonair's circle, he felt no discomfort and arrived in a beautiful environment.

In the distance, mountains stretched undulating, like a sleeping giant Dragon, lying across the heavens and earth. The mountains were covered with lush vegetation, and evergreen pines and cypresses, like dark green cloaks, added a sense of solemnity and depth to the mountains. On the mountains, Chen Kai also saw several Salamence and Hydreigon; Chen Kai had never seen them in the outside world.

Clouds and mist swirled among the mountains, like light veils dancing, and the peaks, appearing and disappearing, were like shy maidens, half-hidden, half-revealed, dreamlike and illusory. Several Altaria led a group of Swablu flying in the clouds and mist.

A crystal-clear stream flowed from the mountains, like a graceful silver ribbon, winding through this land. The stream, illuminated by the sunlight, sparkled and shimmered with tiny points of Radiance. The smooth, colorful pebbles at the bottom of the water, gently caressed by the current, seemed to sway softly.

The Goodra Family was active by the stream. Several Goomy curiously observed the humans who had suddenly appeared.

The sky was as blue as a jewel, and snow-white clouds floated like cotton candy, varying in shape, sometimes like galloping horses, sometimes like fairies scattering flowers, slowly changing shape with the gentle breeze. Sunlight streamed through the gaps in the clouds, casting golden rays that draped the earth in a sacred Radiance.

In the nearby forest, trees were tall and towering, shading the sky, and the Sceptile Family could be vaguely seen. Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the Leafage, forming patches of light, like a dreamlike golden path. Several bird Pokemon sang joyfully on the branches; their clear and melodious songs intertwined into a beautiful symphony of nature.

Several Applin leaped and weaved through the branches, their agile figures appearing and disappearing among the leaves. Occasionally, they would stop and curiously observe everything around them.

Chen Kai pointed to his Applin: "Look, your kind."

However, Applin seemed to only glance at its own kind and didn't show much curiosity.

This beautiful natural environment, free from the hustle and bustle of the city, had only pure blue skies and white clouds, fresh air, pleasant bird song, and the sound of flowing water, like a paradise on earth, making people linger.

Chen Kai couldn't help but sigh in his heart: "The Bai Family Main House really knows how to enjoy themselves!"

But what concerned Chen Kai the most was a dilapidated tall tower deep in the forest.

The tall tower stood quietly deep in the forest, built of ancient, heavy bricks and stones. The surface of the bricks and stones had been eroded by time, mottled and uneven, with varying depths of marks like unique patterns etched by history, each carrying stories of the past. The lower half of the tower was covered with lush green Vines, which wound their way up the tower.

From a distance, the tall tower blended with the surrounding mountains, streams, and forest, neither appearing out of place nor becoming an indispensable part of this natural beauty, adding a mysterious and solemn atmosphere to the entire scene. Once near the tall tower, one could feel a sense of historical weight rushing forth, as if through it, one could glimpse the changing fortunes and human life of past years.

"Chun Jie, what is that tower?" Chen Kai asked.

"Oh! That's the Dragonspiral Tower."
