Slam Dunk: Ryonan'S Ace!

Chapter 3: You are a scumbag

Gu Jin followed Sakuragi to his home.

Sakuragi Hanamichi's home was in an old apartment building near the Hanami-dai residential area in Hiratsuka City.

Most of the residents here were of a comfortable middle-class level.

After arriving at Sakuragi's home, Gu Jin felt that Sakuragi Hanamichi's living environment was quite good.

Sakuragi's father, Sakuragi Zhe Xiong, was an electrical engineer with a decent income.

Their home was not large, but it was very cozy!

This made Gu Jin sigh with emotion; if Sakuragi Hanamichi in the original plot had been like this, his life would have been much happier.

From the clothes Sakuragi kept at home, it was clear that Sakuragi Hanamichi's father loved Sakuragi, which made him feel a touch of envy.

This made Gu Jin grateful that he had saved Sakuragi Hanamichi's father at a critical juncture.

"Jin, don't be shy, eat more! Thanks to your special medicine last time, the doctor said it was really dangerous back then," Sakuragi Zhe Xiong greeted.

"Uncle, you're too kind. Sakuragi and I are good friends; it's what I should do," Gu Jin replied.

Sakuragi Hanamichi was stunned.

Recalling their acquaintance, Gu Jin had always shown him kindness, while he himself had repeatedly caused trouble for Gu Jin because of Yoko.

Hearing him speak like this now, he felt a hint of shame.

Indeed, as the rumors said, Chinese people possessed extraordinary magnanimity, something Japanese people couldn't compare to.

He secretly resolved that he must get along well with Gu Jin in the future and treat Gu Jin as a true friend.

"Don't I know his temperament? Jin, I'm genuinely happy that this brat could make a friend like you. Come, eat more, don't be shy," Sakuragi Zhe Xiong said with a smile, serving Gu Jin some food.

"Jin, I heard from Sakuragi that you live alone?" Sakuragi Zhe Xiong asked.

"Yes," Gu Jin replied.

"What about your parents?"

"My father passed away when I was very young, and my mother abandoned me to go abroad. Later, my Aunt took me to Japan, but when I was fourteen, my Aunt and Uncle also died in a car accident," Gu Jin said softly.

Sakuragi Zhe Xiong's heart tightened upon hearing this, and he quickly said, "Jin, from now on, this will be your home. The Sakuragi family's door is always open for you. If you encounter any difficulties, just come to Uncle."

"Thank you, Uncle Sakuragi!" Gu Jin's eyes welled up slightly, and his heart was filled with emotion.

Both his names were given by his mother, clearly showing her disdain for him, as if she wished for him to turn to ashes.

However, he would always find warmth and light elsewhere!

After eating and drinking his fill, Gu Jin stood up to leave.

It was already ten o'clock at night, the time Shimamura Konan closed her stall. Fortunately, it wasn't far, and he could still help by running there.

After leaving Sakuragi's home, he ran towards the night market.

But as soon as he reached the vicinity of the stall, he saw a group of people smashing it.

Shimamura Konan was holding Yoko, huddled behind the stall, trembling in fear.

"Stop!" Gu Jin shouted sternly.

"Jin!" Shimamura Konan and Yoko cried out, both surprised and delighted.

"Stop f*cking meddling!" A thug waved a stick and pointed it at Gu Jin.

Gu Jin's eyes instantly turned cold.

In 1992, due to insufficient police force, Japan's public order was already quite chaotic, and thugs getting drunk and causing trouble was common, but today was different.

Because among the group of thugs, he clearly saw Sakurai Shinoka. She was Oda Tatsumasa's sycophant.

Previously, she had caused trouble for Yoko simply because Oda Tatsumasa liked Yoko.

After he warned her last time, she had been much more well-behaved.

He hadn't expected her to bring a group of thugs to bully Yoko today.

"Get out immediately! This is your last chance!" Gu Jin's voice was icy cold.

"Oh, kid, don't think being tall is intimidating. We'll beat up people bigger than you just the same!" A thug waved his stick and poked Gu Jin's chest.

The next second, with a muffled "bang," the thug was already kicked away by Gu Jin.

In this life, Gu Jin's physical fitness was astonishing, and his explosive power far surpassed his previous life.

"You dare to fight back? Beat him to death!" The leader of the thugs roared, grabbing a steel pipe and smashing it towards Gu Jin.

Seeing this, the others also swung their clubs and surrounded him. Shimamura Konan, holding Yoko, turned pale with fright, but still trembled as she shouted, "Jin, be careful!"

Gu Jin's eyes sharpened. He sidestepped the steel pipe that was aimed at his head, and at the same time, grabbed the opponent's wrist with a backhand grip and twisted it sharply. With a crisp "crack," the thug screamed and let go of his hand, and the steel pipe clattered to the ground.

Without the slightest pause, he used the momentum of his turn to violently elbow another thug who lunged at him in the chest.

The opponent clutched his chest and hunched over, as if struck by a heavy hammer, too much in pain to speak.

In just a moment, two more people were kicked to the ground by him.

The remaining thugs looked at their companions' pathetic state, and the hands holding their weapons began to tremble—this kid was no ordinary person; his moves were fast and ruthless, completely unlike a student.

"Get out!" The chill in Gu Jin's voice froze their bones.

The thug cried out in pain, scrambling to his feet and shouting, "Go! Quick, go!" The group no longer dared to act tough, dragging their injured companions and fleeing in a panic.

Gu Jin then turned to look at the two behind the stall: "Are you two alright?"

Shimamura Yoko immediately threw herself into Gu Jin's arms and burst into tears.

Gu Jin gently patted her back to comfort her, but his eyes were like ice, staring fixedly at Sakurai Shinoka.

"Gu Jin, what do you want to do? I advise you not to mess around!" Sakurai Shinoka was intimidated by his gaze and shouted, trying to maintain her composure.

Gu Jin spoke coldly: "I won't touch you. I'll call the police. You can wait to be expelled from school."

"Gu Jin, you can't do that!" Sakurai Shinoka became anxious.

"Why not?" Gu Jin retorted, his tone devoid of any warmth.

"I just told them to smash the stall, I didn't actually mean to do anything! I just wanted to warn Yoko to stop bothering Oda!" Sakurai quickly explained.

"So?" Gu Jin raised an eyebrow, his eyes full of mockery.

"I promise, I won't bother her again! Anyway, you can't call the police!" Sakurai pleaded, but her tone still carried a hint of arrogance.

"I'm too lazy to waste any more words on someone like you," Gu Jin said, then turned to Shimamura Konan, "Auntie, call the police!"

"Okay!" Shimamura Konan responded and quickly walked towards the phone booth.

"You can't call the police! Yoko, quickly try to persuade him!" Sakurai Shinoka grabbed Yoko's arm anxiously, "I was just angry that Oda liked you! If you hadn't provoked Oda, why would I have troubled you? You can't be so unreasonable, you can't treat me like this! My dad has already contacted Takezono High School, I can't have anything happen to me!"

Shimamura Konan's steps halted.

"Auntie, ignore her, go call the police," Gu Jin said firmly.

"No, absolutely not!" Sakurai Shinoka raised her voice, "I've already apologized, what else do you want? At worst, I'll compensate you for the damages!"

"Ridiculous," Gu Jin scoffed, "If the police arrest you, you'll still have to pay for the damages you caused, no less."

"You... you're so unforgiving, you're not a man at all! No, you're just a scumbag!" Sakurai Shinoka was both angry and scared, cursing without thinking.
