The Lord Of The Rings: Lords Of Middle-Earth

Chapter 237: Goodbye King Elrond

The early summer breeze lifted the skirts of the woodlands, and the gleaming spears and axes sparkled in the sun. However, this army from the north now stopped in front of Rivendell.

"We're here?" Roland asked in surprise. He didn't expect to be back here again after a winter. However, this time his status was much nobler than before. After all, Roland was like a mercenary captain back then, but now he was the king of a city-state with a large army!

"What do you want to do?" An elf cavalryman came to Roland and others with a team of cavalrymen.

Roland took a closer look. Oh my goodness! Wasn't this Lind, the elf servant he had once captured?

"It's you! Why did you come back? Wasn't Lonely Mountain liberated? Why did you come back?" Lind excitedly pulled out a piece of elven scimitar and stared at Roland cautiously.

"Well, it seems like you have no control over where I go... and I'm here as a guest! I come with goodwill and gifts!" Roland nodded and ignored Linde's nervousness.

"We want to meet King Ailon and let the troops come in to rest!" Roland pointed to the army behind him.

Lind couldn't help but swallow his saliva as he looked at the huge coalition army. How could this human have the courage to ask for shelter? Who could allow a heavily armored army of a thousand men to enter the city so easily?

"I'm sorry that King Ailon is not here. Please go back!" Thinking of this, Linde immediately declined, his eyes full of resistance.

"Hey?" Roland clearly saw Elrond's royal flag flying in the city. After all, the direction of the royal flag in Middle-earth follows the king. After all, they had never experienced being beaten by a man called grandson.

"Wait!" Caslo shook his head to stop Roland.

"Omsk!" Kaslo raised his head and winked at Omsk, who immediately smiled implicitly.

"Boom!" A powerful flame of fighting spirit gushed out, and the image of a knight riding a tall horse, wearing heavy armor and holding a lance rose behind Omsk. A series of terrifying flames of fighting spirit swirled around the emblem, and the entire knight's emblem seemed particularly oppressive.

"The symbol of the sixth level, the professional emblem is displayed!" Caslo whispered to Roland with a smile.

"It's hard for Elrond not to think of this now. After all, he can't just ignore a level six who reveals his identity and doesn't hide his aura in his territory. Isn't this way of visiting convenient and fast?" Kaslo smiled obscenely.

"You're here to visit!" Roland nodded woodenly. Is this the proper attitude for a visitor? It's hard to say whether Sauron had your level of prestige when he declared war on the forces of Middle-earth.

"Your Highness, are we sure we're here to reclaim Moria, not attack Rivendell?" Balin's eyes were filled with suspicion. Could it be that Roland had ulterior motives against the elves and wanted to destroy them? Was he trying to drag him down with him? The dwarves couldn't withstand another racial war with the elves. Many images flashed through Balin's mind at that moment.

"Don't worry..." Roland could only bite the bullet and say to Balin. He had no idea what Elrond was thinking.

"What...are you...going to do?" Lind was terrified. Could it be that this guy was really going to resort to brute force because outsmarting him didn't work?

"Pa!" A warm palm landed on Linde's shoulder, and a calming energy flowed from the palm through Linde's whole body. Without looking back, Linde knew who the owner of this hand was.

"Why are you here? I have seen you, the child with the strange flag." Elrond's steady and long voice sounded.

"What is he saying? Is he scolding me? Should we scold him back?" Roland asked quietly while pulling Kaslo. After all, it was normal that he could not understand the ancient elven language.

"Hello, His Highness Elrond, the great Lord of Rivendell. On behalf of my Lord, I offer you my highest respect and blessings! This is our gift!" Omsk replied as he took out the gifts that Roland and they had prepared long ago and presented them to Elrond.

"I accept your friendship! But why are you with the dwarves? Your army is already capable of causing changes, may I know?" Elrond took the gift with both hands and continued to ask. He felt the power of the white gem in the box and the sincere eyes of Roland and his group, and he became somewhat interested in their actions.

"Khasad-dûm!" Balin couldn't wait to stand out.

"We are here to take back our lost home! The Mines of Moria!" Balin's beard trembled as he spoke with great determination, his eyes full of a resolute light.

"Oh!" Elrond was startled. He hadn't expected the Dwarves to make such a big move! Just a few days after retaking the Lonely Mountain? And already they were embarking on another expedition to Moria! Elrond wanted to ask Thorin if he'd gotten too comfortable in his seat as King under the Mountain? Was he so conceited?

"Sir, letting your friends stand outside and chat is not the right way to entertain guests, is it?" Kaslo pressed towards Elrond with dragon power surging from his whole body. All the mounts around him immediately moved away from Kaslo, and even the moon deer that Elrond was riding took a few steps back.

"We've expended a lot of energy crossing the Misty Mountains. We hope to find a safe place to rest. We're willing to pay!" Roland interrupted.

"I'm sorry for being rude. Please come in. I will provide them with clean shelter and food." Elrond bowed slightly and spread out one hand to invite them.

"Thank you very much. Thank you for your generosity in saving us from having to sleep in the open air!" Balin said gratefully.

"Oh, right, back to the same question. Can you explain it to me?" Elrond asked curiously. Logically, the Dwarves shouldn't be so turbulent now that they have a homeland, right? Look at what's happened in the North. The Battle of Five Armies had thrown the entire North into chaos. Fortunately, the Misty Mountains stood in the way. Otherwise, Elrond felt these Dwarves would surely drag Rivendell down with them.

"The Battle of Lonely Mountain has severely damaged the orcs in the north. They should be unable to take care of Moria for the time being. We want to take back our homeland!" Balin spoke naturally. He also wanted to see if he could trick Elrond into sending troops to help!

"God! Are you crazy? How do you plan to deal with the evil hidden deep in Moria? It may be difficult to rely on one hero and one dragon rider!" Elrond frowned.

"What if we have two dragons?" Roland smiled and pulled the Smurf out of his arms. The little guy had just woken up from his sleep and was a little grumpy, scratching Roland madly.

"Oh! Gods! Elf dragon? How did you find her?" Elrond asked in surprise.

"I have a humble request..." Elrond was just about to speak.

"I'm sorry, King Ailon, I can't promise you. This dragon is not a commodity, it's our family!" Roland refused decisively while holding the Smurf. Although the dragon kept clamoring to kill Roland, after spending a long time with him, everyone found that this little guy was just being stubborn. In the end, Yun Feng lifted the seal and let him stay by Roland's side to protect his king. After all, Roland sometimes liked to commit suicide.
