The Lord Of The Rings: Lords Of Middle-Earth

Chapter 247: attack from the dome

"Huh? Why is the hole in the dome still flashing?" Roland suddenly discovered that there was a light flickering above the dome.

"Wait! These are orcs!" Roland jumped up and rolled over. He suddenly remembered the plot in The Lord of the Rings 1: goblins and orcs emerged from the caves on the dome like a tide, climbed down the pillars and quickly surrounded the Fellowship of the Ring!

"Get up! Everyone, get up!" Roland grabbed a Lagran Royal Guard who was sleeping soundly beside him and shook him quickly. After the soldier opened his confused eyes, he pulled up another soldier.

"Your Highness? What's wrong?" Caslo, who was a light sleeper, was awakened by the noise made by Roland. He immediately turned over and grabbed Roland to stop him from waking up the tired soldiers. He thought Roland was having a nightmare or something.

"Your Highness! Calm down. Are you having a nightmare?" Caslo asked hurriedly.

"Wake up the soldiers! The enemy is coming from above!" Roland looked up and saw that a fast orc had already climbed halfway up the stone pillar.

"Sentinels! Wake up everyone! The orcs are attacking!" Roland roared in horror.

Apparently, the jumping Roland attracted the attention of the goblin vanguard. Although they were not very smart, they knew that if they allowed this human to continue shouting, their attack would fail!

"Dang!" The rough iron arrow hit Roland's plate armor, and then was ruthlessly broken and bounced away, but this also attracted the attention of Caslo.

"Dragon God! Rise! Attack! Prepare for battle!" Kaslo's roar, imbued with dragon power, was far more effective than Roland's. The entire hall reverberated with his voice, its lingering echoes lingering in the air! Kaslo had actually used his Dragon Roar skill!

"Counterattack!" The nimble Lordaeron Rangers were the first to react. They drew their bows and arrows, piercing through the goblins that were approaching their allies. In some places, the Lordaeron Rangers' firepower even caused a "goblin rain!"

"What great archery!" Roland couldn't help but cheer when he saw the rangers of Lordaeron shooting three arrows with one bow. He had never realized before that these rangers of Lordaeron under his command had such a unique skill?

"Be careful!" Caslo used a sword to cut off the arrow shot at Roland. Although the goblin's archery skills were extremely poor and the arrows were not very sharp, and although the danger was not particularly great, it is better to be safe than sorry. If Roland was really killed by an arrow, his men would have no place to cry.

"What's wrong?" Balin put on his helmet and stumbled around. He hadn't figured out why everything was suddenly in such a mess when he just took a short nap.

"Bang!" A goblin fell from the sky and slashed Balin on the back. Balin subconsciously punched its head, and he didn't react until the warm blood and brain matter splashed on his face.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack! Get up! Children! The orcs are attacking us! Meet the enemy! Meet the enemy!" Balin jumped three feet high in excitement, and he walked among the soldiers and shouted.

"Be careful of air raids!" Omsk didn't expect that he would be commanding his troops to avoid air raids in an underground cave! This really made him speechless.

"Ding-ling, clang!" A group of Dowinion heavy swordsmen raised their shields to block the arrows falling from the sky. Under the sparse arrows, the Dowinion heavy swordsmen all showed speechless expressions.

"Damn it! I can't even get a good night's sleep!" Balin muttered, with helplessness in his eyes.

"Be careful of losses!" Roland said worriedly as he looked at the Lordaeron rangers fighting back in the rain of arrows.

"Puff, puff, puff!" A few light sounds were heard, and under Roland's stunned gaze, a Lordaeron ranger was shot into a sieve!

"Oh! Dragon God! Thank you for your protection!" The ranger who was shot down actually climbed up again and pulled out the arrow that was half embedded in the leather armor, complaining as he did so.

"Damn Goblins! Their arrows are as limp as they are!"

"Huh?" Roland's face quizzically turned black. What kind of weird creature was this? Were they so careless about their weapons? Arrows couldn't penetrate their leather armor. Was the system's built-in leather armor too strong, or was it just too shabby?

"I can't believe it! These arrows have been released for hundreds and thousands of years! They are still in use?" Balin exclaimed as he picked up an arrow that fell beside him.

"These are the crossbows of our dwarves! Have they been using the stockpiles left over from Moria? And they can't ignite the Great Furnace!" Balin muttered to himself after examining the arrows.

"King Roland! Tell your soldiers to relax! As long as the arrows don't hit the unarmored parts, they won't kill them!" Balin shouted to Roland, holding up the rotten arrow in his hand.

"Thank you for the good news..." Roland shook his head. There are strange creatures every year, but this year they are especially numerous! Our fully armed men don't look like they can be penetrated by arrows like these! Who gave them the courage?

"Kill! Don't let them gain a foothold!" The heavy-armored swordsmen of Dorwinion couldn't wait to kill everyone. They gathered their fighting spirit and swung their swords, easily splitting the goblins in half, including the swords.

"Your Highness! The sword is embroidered!" A royal guard handed Roland the captured weapon. The originally sharp dwarf standard sword was rusted and broken into two ends.

"Looks like they've plundered the dwarves' stockpile again..." Roland shook his head helplessly, glancing at the now-historical sword. No wonder Balin had been able to lead only a few dozen dwarves to capture Moria and successfully reclaim lost territory... So the enemy was armed with weapons like these? Speaking of which, his attention had been drawn to the giant ogre earlier, and he hadn't noticed the goblin weapons were so shabby.

"Be careful, don't let anything go wrong!" After patting Caslo on the shoulder and giving him the command, Roland walked aside and hid behind the shield to watch the show.

"That stone pillar over there! Rangers, help clear it out! There are quite a lot of enemies! Don't let them surround us!" Kaslo commanded in an orderly manner. To be honest, this wasn't a battle, it was a massacre! These goblins weren't unarmed, but they felt like the worst of the worst...

In fact, the moment Roland discovered the sneak attack, the outcome of the battle was already determined. Countless goblins who were still trying to climb were shot and killed by the Lordaeron rangers on their way down the stone pillar. Any enemies who wanted to gather together would encounter a storm of blades from the Dorwinion heavy swordsmen, and the battlefield was divided by the city guards and dwarves. Except for the royal guards who were protecting Roland and watching the show, everyone else was like on an outing. As long as you stayed under the pillar, there would be stupid goblins climbing down to chop you up. It felt so good!

"Is it over?" Roland watched the battle gradually subside, feeling that his bed was defiled. The broken limbs were too disgusting. Roland frowned and looked at the twisted goblin corpses, feeling nauseous.

"Pack up and go to sleep! Remember to tell everyone to put up their shields! Although they probably won't attack twice, what if they do?" Roland seemed to say.

"Okay, Your Highness, go to bed early!" Kaslo shook his head. This goblin really deserved to die! It had been tormenting everyone's nerves since entering the Misty Mountains. Now everyone wanted to crush every goblin that appeared before them.
