The revelation of the truth struck Rui hard. It was so unfathomable that he scarcely conceived of the very concept that the entire continent was just a dungeon in a manifold like the Mellow Manifold. However, he recalled how the Mellow Manifold had resembled a simple planetoid with its own cycle of day and night. He recalled how the Mellow Manifold was truly convincingly its own world, and if one had grown up in it one’s entire life, then one would have grown up believing that the entire planetoid was simply the entire world.

Chills crawled across his skin when he considered the sheer consequences of this revelation and what it meant for all of human civilization. From the very moment he made the realization and connected all the dots that had lined up without him even realizing it, he knew that the future of human civilization was going to change beyond awakening.

He had always wondered what the Shield of Gaia and the Astral Sovereign meant when they spoke about the unfolding. With the revelation of the nature of the Panama Continent, he became overcome with certainty that the Unfolding referred to the dispelling of the manifold that separated the Panama Continent from the true world outside.

Chills crawled across his spine as he realized that this event was so unfathomably world-shattering that the very thought of it filled him with grave severity. He wasn’t sure that the Martial Transcendents had the best of human civilization in their minds.

Countless questions surged in his mind even as he beheld the radiant white alien tree within the depths of the eldritch chimera’s broken body shined with unfathomable power.

Just what was the world outside them like?

Just where did this alien species come from?

What was the connection between this particular specimen and the one in the Kandrian Empire that the Divine Doctor had been studying for a long time?

He didn’t know.

He had many questions, but no answers.

And now, he didn’t have any control over the battle any longer. Every instinct in his body wanted to try and stop the Transcendent from destroying the eldritch chimera and preserve the manifold tree until they figured out what to do with it. But Damian barely listened to anybody, even when he was a Martial Sage. Rui knew that there was no chance that he would listen to anybody now that he was a Martial Transcendent. The worst part was that he also had no choice but to destroy the eldritch chimera and the manifold tree. After all, the eldritch chimera had fully assimilated the manifold tree into its biology, giving it full control over the alien flora lifeform. That meant that killing the eldritch chimera necessarily meant that the manifold tree also needed to die. The worst part was that there was no compromise where they could let the eldritch chimera live in order to preserve the manifold tree. The creature harbored a profound bloodlust for all of human civilization that it had passed on to all beasts and monsters of the Beast Domain. As long as the eldritch chimera was alive, human civilization was in existential danger, not just because of the Beast Domain but also because the creature had full control over the very fabric of reality within the manifold.

The very fabric of reality in which they all lived.

They couldn’t allow a creature that harbored such an unfathomable bloodlust for human civilization to maintain control over such power.

Which meant that it needed to die no matter what.

And its death meant the death of the manifold tree.

And the death of the manifold tree meant…

He found it hard to even parse in words.

He simply bore witness to what was about to unfold and Unfold.

And yet, not even that was enough to overcome the Devil’s Destruction. A wild, menacing grin of unfathomable bloodlust emerged on his face.
